WEAVING NATURE'S WONDERS
Traditional Weaving with a Twist. Add your own creative touch to one of the oldest forms of craft, using native grasses. (suitable for children aged 3 – 10, parent supervision required)
When: Tuesday 6 & 13 July, 10.00 am - 11.00 am & 11.30 am – 12.30 pm

ACTEW 22nd National Calisthenics Championships 09.30am
Looking for something different to do these holidays? Why not come and enjoy an artistic sport combing dance, theatre, beauty and strength at its most elite level.
From July 5-10th 2010, Canberra welcomes the 22nd ACF (Australian Calisthenics Federation) National Championships to the Canberra Theatre Centre, Canberra City. Each year all Australian state and territories registered with the Australian Calisthenics Federation are invited to compete in the National Championships and in 2010, this will see teams from all over Australia travel to Canberra for this unique sporting competition to represent their state or territory in both team and/or individual competition.
Calisthenics is a uniquely Australian sport that combines rhythm, movement, flexibility, grace and dramatic expression, complimented by apparatus. Competitors perform a number of choreographed routines on stage to music. There are approximately five thousand competitors across Australia ranging in age from 3 years through to those in their seventies.
